Damper Cloth
Damper Cloth - Scarlet wool cloth in 3/8" (10 mm) wide strips and either 40" (1 m) or 50' (15 m) length. The thick cloth is used for damper for our delrin jacks #1043 - 1044, but can also be used as key end felt on upper manuals. Wrapped around the end of keys and tacked into place with small nails, and not glued, it cushions the bottom of jacks and the coupler dogs.
Damper/Bushing Cloth - Scarlet wool cloth with a white center, stiffer than damper cloth above. It keeps its shape better and is therefore preferred by some makers. Same width and lengths as above.

Available in strips totaling 36" (90 cm), or as pieces of various sizes that can be torn into strips of 25' (7,5 m) total length.
