Jack Rail Cloth
This is a 1/4" (6 mm) thick multi-layered woven wool cloth with a firm body and one soft surface. The firm body of this cloth prevents it from compressing in time, and the soft surface attenuates the impact noise of keys and jacks striking it. Its damping qualities equal that of 4 to 5 layers of ordinary wool cloth. It can be used on the back rail of keyboards, on jack rails, and as interface between keyboard and case for the keyboard to rest on. Available as bulk sheets, fraction of sheets and strips.
