The Instrument Workshop
Parts, plans and supplies for early keyboard instruments and other stringed instruments
Covered Keyboards
Covered keyboards are custom made. We need a plan for the keyboard(s) to be made, or a copy of the plan of the instrument the keyboard(s) are meant to go into. The key covers are installed and all exposed surfaces are fine sanded, but no edges or corners have been shaped, nor has any finish been applied. The keyboard comes regulated with felts on balance rails and back rails, no felts on key ends. Prices are for keyboards up to 5 octaves plus one note. Larger keyboards can be made at proportionately higher costs.
