Calf Skin

Firm Calf Skin—Selected for use as beak leather. Package of 1/3 sq ft may contain from 1 to 5 pieces, about 1.2 mm thick.

Soft Calf Skin—Deer tanned calf skin, somewhat firmer than deer skin. The 1/2 sq ft and larger pieces may have one or two irregular edges. The skin is generally thinner near the irregular edges. Each piece includes parts of the skin from the edge to the center, approximately 1.5 mm thick.

Calf skin includes the outer smooth layer of skin.
