Thicknesses/Packaging
Strips - Strips are ˝" (12 mm) wide and 5' (1,5 m) long with the grain along the length of the strips.
Sheets - Sheets are 4”, 6” an d 12” wide (depending on kind) and a length to make up 1 square foot. The direction of grain runs along the long side and is marked on each sheet. The sheets are mill stock and not further treated.
Pieces - These 1.5"x6" (37 x 152 mm) pieces are accurately sized in thickness and sold in packages of 3. The grain runs along the width of these pieces. It is marked on one of the 3 pieces as a reminder. Thus you cut each strip into 3 or 4 narrower strips (depending on the lengths of your plectra) and then slice off the plectra. This will align the grain properly.
Cutting Plectra - Plectra can be cut from strips, pieces or sheets with a scalpel or, better, a rotary cutter.
Packages - Packages contain 100 plectra.
Bulk Packages - Bulk packages contain 1/2 oz of plectra
