without stringing hook. An iron key with a rusty looking bronze finish. It fits most pins in the 4mm to 5mm range.

80142 Old Style Steel Tuning Key from England
without stringing hook. It fits many old style tuning pins with flat top. The slot is tapered and the sleeve is loose so the slot can be modified by customer to fit customer’s old style harpsichord tuning pins. We can also perform this at our shop at additional cost (#80144). 3.875" stem, 3.5" wide handle

This tuning key has a tapered slot to fit a large variety of old style tuning pins from 3.5 mm to 4.5 mm without modification. 3.75" stem, 4.25" wide handle

80149 Adapter Tip with rectangular hole for Zither Pin Tuning Keys
Place this adapter tip on an old style tuning pin, then use a regular star tipped zither key or tuning hammer to tune. You will have 8 positions rather than only one as with with #8014 etc. Order with loose sleeve, if you like to modify the slot yourself.

Which Tuning Key will fit?
 
Looking down on your tuning pins you see that the top of each pin forms a rectangle having a width (the smaller dimension) and a length. We call the width of that rectangle the thickness (T) of the tuning pin at the very top. Measure this dimension with a micrometer or calipers as pricisely as you can.
