Wire Cutters
8061 Professional 4 Diagonal Cutter
have precision ground jaws that will cut even the thinnest wire (.007") on the first try, but are sturdy enough to also handle the thicker copper alloy strings. Only 4" (10 cm) long, they fit comfortably in your hand.
8062/3 Medium Duty 4 Diagonal Cutters
(#8062) and Medium Duty 4 Wire Nippers (#8063) are recommended for those who would use them only occasionally. They wear out more rapidly when used on hard music wire.
80625 Semi Professional 6 Diagonal Cutters
for heavier iron and piano type wire from .020 up to .060 in diameter
Professional 4 Wire Cutters

Comments:
We have been using the #8061 Diagonal Cutters in our shop for the past 6 years for cutting the wire for every string, every coil and every spool of wire we sell. Only lately do we have difficulty cutting the thinner wire under .009 at places of the cutting edges other than the tip. For all wire cutters, we recommend that you cut thicker wire near the throat and thinner wire near the tip of the cutting surface to prolong the life of the pliers.
