Roeslau Piano Wire

Mapes Piano Wire is a highly polished, high carbon piano wire of high tensile strength and minimal elongation, also known as Mapes International Gold Wire.

Diameters: .029” (0.72mm) to .049 (1,22mm) in 1 lb coils. Smaller diameters are available on spools on the Mapes music wire page. 5 lb coils are available through The Wire Place.

Tensile Strength: 380,000 PSI (26720 kg/sq cm) to 425,000 PSI (29880 kg/sq cm)
