Tinned Mandolin Wire - Tinned high carbon steel wire of high tensile strength, used in long scale keyboard instruments, hammered dulcimers and other non-bowed stringed instruments. This wire is of higher quality and somewhat lower tensile strength than the tinned music wire. This makes it ideal for the treble of keyboard instruments where low tensile iron wire does not hold up.
Diameters: .008” (0.20mm), .009” (0.23mm), .010” (0.25mm), .011” (.28mm)
No bulk coils available for this wire, but bulk spools (priced per lb) ranging in weight from 5 to 10 lb, priced per lb.
Tensile Strength: 295,000 - 325,000 PSI (20743 - 22849 kg/sq cm)
